Anthropic analyzed 207,000 Claude and Claude Code research sessions to study how scientists use AI. Its report finds data analysis is a leading use, while formal fields such as computer science use Claude more relative to their size.

A model in the report estimates that automating all non-physical research work could raise output up to 15-fold in computer science and statistics.
