Anthropic maps first prokaryotic vault particle in 3D

Anthropic has mapped the first 3D structure of a vault particle from a prokaryotic cell, using Claude throughout the research.

Claude helped reduce particle purification from three days to about 90 minutes, and a first structural model was ready 34 hours later.

The vault’s biological function remains unknown.
